"It is thus taking over the trade fair for the production technologies sawing and cutting, which fits perfectly into the growing Metals and Flow Technologies portfolio," says Friedrich-Georg Kehrer, Global Portfolio Director at Messe Düsseldorf. Saw Expo will take place in Friedrichshafen for the first time from June 8 to 11, 2021. "This is an ideal location as many companies produce in the south of Germany and in the neighboring countries of Switzerland, Austria and Italy," adds Daniel Ryfisch, Deputy Director of the Global Portfolio Metals and Flow Technologies and responsible for the implementation of Saw Expo.

The region around Lake Constance is one of the most innovative economic areas in Europe, where medium-sized companies work alongside traditional family businesses, surrounded by the global players of the world economy. Stefan Motte (initiator and owner of the Sägebörse and Sägemanagement portals) deliberately works together with the trade fair organizers from the Rhine, who can look back on 70 years of successful trade fairs in Germany and abroad. In Motte, the Düsseldorf-based company has a proven expert at its side who can look back on several decades of expertise in the sawing industry and who will continue to support Saw Expo with his know-how and in-depth knowledge of the industry.

As part of Tube Düsseldorf, Saw Expo will also be held in Düsseldorf in even-numbered years from 2020, here as a special pavilion for the sawing and cutting sectors in Hall 6 of the Düsseldorf exhibition grounds. A spin-off is already planned for fall 2020 as part of Tube China 2020 in Shanghai.

Sawing, cutting and industrial cutting are indispensable in many manufacturing processes. They play a particularly important role in pipe technology. Pipes made of different materials such as steel, aluminum, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastic, wood and composites are sawn into shape and adapted to various industrial requirements. Saw Expo in Friedrichshafen in June 2021 is expected to attract manufacturers of sawing machines and alternative cutting technologies, sawing tools, trowal systems, deburring machines, suppliers, manufacturers of accessories and consumables, peripheral machines and systems as well as service providers. Contract sawmills, used machines, associations, publishers and the topic of science/research complete the range of products and services on offer. On the visitor side, the trade fair is aimed at users of sawing and cutting processes - regionally, nationally and internationally. They come from metalworking, metal processing, the steel trade, mechanical engineering, the automotive industry, the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, the pipe industry, recycling, window construction and warehousing and logistics companies.

The previous organizer, Untitled Exhibitions, had recently cancelled the trade fair for 2019 and the company had announced that it was withdrawing from the Saw Expo project.
