As a flexible casting compound, it is versatile and can be cured in two stages. The transparent epoxy resin is easy to dispense due to its low viscosity and enables a clean edge finish without running. The adhesive is therefore suitable as a flexible coating compound.

The adhesive has a thermal initiator that allows subsequent curing of shadow areas in the oven. Vitralit 2028 is transparent and, once fully cured, is resistant to chemicals and suitable for autoclaving. The material is ideal as a protective coating for wires in coil windings and for other applications that require protective coatings.
