Yaskawa at the Intertool
Hybrid robots in practical use
The automated production of a single product according to individual specifications is just as much a central requirement of Industry 4.0 as standardized interfaces and the networked management of systems and processes. Yaskawa meets these challenges with intelligent control and software concepts, but also with powerful robot models. One highlight at Intertool 2018 will be two Motoman HC10s with a reach of 1.2 m and a handling weight of 10 kg.
These hybrid robots can be used both as normal industrial robots and as collaborative robots. Equipped with an HRC gripper and an automatic screwdriver in HRC design, they will assemble bottle openers in a new show cell and distribute them to visitors to the stand as giveaways. The system is controlled via a Vipa touch panel from Yaskawa and is equipped with special new safety step mats. HC stands for "Human Collaborative". The HC10 guarantees the required safety in direct contact with the operator thanks to a sophisticated 6-fold force and torque monitoring system.
The compact and extremely fast handling robots in the GP series were developed for particularly fast joining, packaging and general handling applications. With payloads of 7, 8, 12 and 25 kg, the new 6-axis robots are the fastest in their class and therefore true productivity drivers. Yaskawa will also be showcasing other current solutions for robot-based welding and handling at Intertool.
Current servo systems and frequency inverters
Under the trade fair motto "Best in Class Products and System Solutions", Yaskawa will also be presenting the consistent further development of the current Sigma-7 servo system and the GA700 frequency inverters: extended safety functions in the sense of an "Advanced Safety" program will be presented for Sigma-7. In addition, the power classes 6 - 7.5 kW and 11 - 15 kW have been added for the 400 V version. With seven new models, Yaskawa is expanding the available power range of GA700 frequency inverters up to 355 kW.
With the new free feature pack V2.4.9 for the PLC7100-based CPUs Micro and Slio, new features are available via a firmware update: In addition to an integrated web server, which enables modern contemporary visualization via smartphone etc., all Micro and Slio CPUs are now also Profinet-capable. They can therefore be easily integrated into existing networks. am
