Sieb & Meyer with record sales in the 2021 financial year
Sales growth in the high double-digit percentage range
Sieb & Meyer was able to increase its turnover by a further 60% in 2021 compared to the previous year. This is primarily due to the CNC control systems business area. However, the Drive Electronics division also contributed to the record turnover with its frequency inverters for high-speed motors and highly dynamic servo drives.
"In addition to the ongoing Covid crisis, 2021 was characterized by a global shortage of materials," explains Markus Meyer, CEO of Sieb & Meyer. "We are therefore particularly proud of this excellent performance." Despite the difficult conditions, the Lüneburg-based company was able to ensure its ability to deliver and meet the increased customer demand. "We owe this largely to our motivated employees," emphasizes Markus Meyer. In order to be able to offer its customers the best service in the future, Sieb & Meyer has continued to increase its workforce in 2021: The company now has 22 percent more employees compared to the previous year.
Parallel to the continuous development of the product range, Sieb & Meyer is currently actively optimizing its production operations. A key focus here is onmaking productionCO2-neutral in the medium term. A 300 kWp photovoltaic system including 120 KWh battery storage will make a further contribution to this at the beginning of 2022. At the same time, 10 charging stations will be installed for employees' electric vehicles.
