Oliver Schleicher replaces Dr. Berger

New DACH sales manager at Weidmüller

With effect from May 1, Oliver Schleicher took over the position of Regional Manager DACH and joined the management of the Weidmüller Group's German sales company in Detmold.

The 52-year-old Oliver Schleicher is thus taking over the previous sales responsibilities of the designated Chief Sales Officer Dr. Timo Berger in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In his new position, Schleicher will increasingly focus on the sale of the company's technological solutions as well as components and solutions in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
"With Oliver Schleicher, we have gained a proven specialist from the automation and solutions business who has been responsible for numerous sales successes at major market players in recent years," comments José Carlos Álvarez Tobar, Chief Sales Officer (CMSO) of the Weidmüller Group.

Schleicher has held various international management positions in sales for almost twenty years, most recently as Managing Director for a Swiss sensor manufacturer in Shanghai/China. Born in Swabia, he studied mechatronics at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences before starting his career at Systeme Lauer in 1996. From 2002, Oliver Schleicher worked for Micro Innovation in Switzerland, most recently as Managing Director. Following the acquisition by Eaton in 2009, he took over overall European responsibility for sales and marketing in the automation business area.
