Measuring devices and systems
Metrology for Professionals from Mahr
Mahr is launching three new product families for contour and surface measurement at Control in Stuttgart. Measuring devices and systems will be presented that work quickly, universally, innovatively and efficiently, thus increasing the production quality of customers.
All measuring stations in the MarSurf CD (contour measurement), MarSurf VD (contour and roughness measurement) and MarSurf GD (roughness and waviness measurement) series have an innovative workpiece clamping system that cleverly combines the 50 mm bore size mounting plate and the integrated 60 mm TY adjustment, so that no additional XY table is required. Shorter measuring times are achieved by the axes of the new devices: A positioning speed of up to 200 mm/s is possible in the X direction and the Z axis is around 5 times faster than the usual alternatives on the market. All in all, the new MarSurf devices impress with short measuring times, high flexibility and greater safety for the workpiece, machine and operator. The measuring stations can also be used close to production for reliable and fast feedback to production.
Cleverly toothed: MarGear GMX 400 ZL-W with roughness probe
At Control, Mahr will be presenting a new probe arm unit for roughness measurement for the tried-and-tested MarGear GMX 400 ZL-W gear measuring station. It enables the standard-compliant measurement of roughness from Rz 1 µm by using an inductive probe from the MarSurf range. MarWin Roughness enables the evaluation of all common surface parameters - for example in accordance with ISO 42878 and ISO 13565-2. The proven MarWin software has also been expanded with new functions in the MarGear area: In version 11, evaluations and tolerance tables according to AGMA 2000-A88, DIN 5480, GOST, ANSI B92.1 and CAT 1E2028 / CAT 1E4157 are possible, among others.
Hand-held measuring technology: fast measurement and protection of surfaces
In the field of manual measuring technology, Mahr presents two new digital micrometers with quick adjustment and sliding spindle. By adjusting the measuring spindle 10 times faster than standard models (0.5 mm), measuring times can be significantly reduced - especially with stepped workpieces or with a high part variance. The non-rotating spindle minimizes the risk of damage to the workpiece surface. Mahr offers the new hand-held measuring devices for wireless data transmission with "Integrated Wireless" radio technology (Micromar 40 EWRi-L) and with a new data output for connecting a USB data cable (Micromar 40 EWR-L). Both interfaces are used both for configuring the devices and for transferring the measured values to a computer. Mahr offers the free MarCom software for configuration and evaluation.
Software solutions and wireless technology for measurement technology
In times of digitalization, production and quality assurance are moving closer together. Software solutions for intuitive and fast data evaluation and wireless technologies for convenient and secure data transfer are required for modern, future-proof and efficient quality management directly in production. Using several examples, Mahr will show how companies can increase the efficiency of their quality assurance by combining high-quality measuring devices with innovative software. For example, with MarWin Millimar Cockpit for electrical length measurement or when testing rotationally symmetrical workpieces with the manual shaft measuring station MarShaft MAN and the MarWin Easy Shaft MAN software. As data transmission must also meet the requirements of digitalization, Mahr will also be presenting its wide range of manual measuring technology with integrated wireless technology in Stuttgart. kp
