Seigo Kinugawa is responsible for the EMEA region

Seigo Kinugawa has been CEO of Omron's industrial automation business in the EMEA region since April 1. He succeeds Hiroyuki Usui, who is retiring. Kinugawa has set himself the goal of developing innovative manufacturing solutions for the benefit of society.

In addition to his duties as CEO of the industrial automation business in the EMEA region, Kinugawa will also assume the position of Managing Executive Officer of Omron Corporation. He will primarily be based at the European headquarters in Hoofdorp, the Netherlands. He will report to Yutaka Miyanaga, President of the Industrial Automation Company of Omron Corporation.

Kinugawa has been working for Omron for 30 years. The 53-year-old started his career with the company as a sales engineer specializing in the automotive industry in Nagoya. This was followed by various positions in sales, customer support and planning. Kinugawa also worked outside Japan for 10 years, including in mainland Asia, the USA and Europe. Most recently, he was Senior General Manager of the Strategic Planning Department for Industrial Automation at Omron's headquarters in Kyoto.

"For example, as Senior General Manager of the Robotics Business Project, he initiated our collaboration with Techman."
