Roemheld at the AMB
Zero point clamping system for welding environments
If workpieces have to be machined on different machines, Stark zero-point clamping systems are the ideal solution. The new Stark Speedy connect series presented by Roemheld at the AMB can be used in harsh environments.
The compact Stark Speedy connect zero-point clamping system, which was developed for use in welding environments, for example in plant and vehicle construction, will be on show for the first time at AMB. The robust housing is made of high-quality tool steel and anodized, high-strength aluminium.
The self-locking elements, which are tensioned with springs and pneumatically boosted, achieve a pull-in force of three kilonewtons at five bar over a pull-in distance of 4.5 millimetres. Thanks to an active retraction path with a very high retraction force and a floating mounting of the nipple, there are a wide range of applications such as simple robot feeds and removals or the pressing of glued joints.
An electronic monitoring system is integrated, which indicates the current clamping status - "clamped", "released" or "clamped without nipple" - via LEDs on the rear of the clamping system. The signals can also be transmitted digitally to a higher-level control system. Electronic monitoring is an alternative to optical clamping monitoring using a mechanical clamping control valve, which has already proven its worth in Stark zero-point clamping systems from the Speedy classic series. Here too, the evaluation of the clamping control can be integrated directly into the machine control system.
Stark Speedy connect was specially developed for plant construction and assembly. Fields of application include vehicle body shell construction and the joining of machine elements. as
