Assembly from Arnold

Sheet metal with good connections

With Assembly, Arnold offers ready-to-install sheet metal modules with integrated fasteners. This shortens the supply chain, as users do not have to coordinate several suppliers for the ready-to-install assembly.

Wherever fasteners need to be incorporated into components or assemblies for further processing, expertise is required that traditional sheet metal processors often do not have. The insertion of fasteners, whether for the multi-materialmix or in conventional materials, therefore often extends the supply chain, which means that additional contact partners and lead times are added. To change this, Arnold Umformtechnik now offers the finished combination of sheet metal part and fastener under the product name Assembly, tested according to specified quality criteria. This means that users do not have to coordinate several suppliers for the ready-to-install assembly and have a central point of contact.

In-house production

Arnold produces ready-to-install assemblies in-house, from small quantities to large series, offering a high degree of flexibility with short delivery times. Depending on requirements, the company produces both sheet metal parts and connecting elements and incorporates these into the (non-weldable) sheet metal part. Alternatively, the connecting elements can also be inserted into parts provided by the customer.

The joining experts also offer exclusive advice on the development of a component, from the initial design drawing through to final series production. During the consultation process, it is checked whether it makes more sense to purchase the equipment for in-house production or to outsource production. In addition to the economic aspect, the existing know-how plays an important role. The manufacturer must understand and be able to monitor numerous process parameters to prevent faults when feeding sheet metal strips and joining fasteners. Arnold offers various sorting and conveying devices as well as solutions for the (partially) manual or automated insertion of fasteners.

In the medium term, the assembly process will not only supply finished sheet metal parts with inserted connecting elements, but also complete manufactured assemblies for lightweight construction. With these new technologies, highly automated production processes can continue to be used as usual. One driver of innovation in this area is the automotive industry together with its suppliers, but the electrical, household appliance and furniture industries also benefit from the innovative joining processes and connection solutions. as
