Small, lightweight and for demanding applications
The latest models in Teledyne Flir's Blackfly S GigE camera range are the BFS-U3-50S4M-C and BFS U3 50S4C C. These 5 MP models are suitable for integration into small portable devices and integration with compact, lower cost lenses thanks to their low weight of only 53 g and high pixel density.
Utilizing Sony's IMX547 sensor, they offer very good low light performance with high quantum efficiency and low absolute sensitivity, making them suitable for a range of demanding applications from biometrics to scientific research and more.

- At 53 grams, the lightest camera with IMX547
- High QE and low noise result in a low absolute sensitivity threshold (4.4 photon AST)
- Excellent quantum efficiency (68% QE at 525 nm)
- Excellent performance in low light conditions (read noise of 2.53 e-)
- Small pixel size enables cheaper, more compact optics
- High sensitivity (high QE and low AST) reduces illumination system requirements
