Antares Vision presents the Visual Rotating Inspector VRI, an inline or standalone inspection machine developed in accordance with GAMP 5 for inspecting medical containers made of glass or plastic for all types of liquids such as solutions, suspensions, emulsions or oil-based products as well as for powders or freeze-dried medicines.

The comprehensive set (four product families, ten machines) includes machines that test volumes from one to 1,000 milliliters, from small-volume parenterals such as vials, ampoules, vials, cartridges and syringes to large-volume parenterals such as medicine bottles or blow-fill-seal containers. The VRIs enable a throughput of up to 24,000 containers per hour and inspect products with an accuracy of up to 50 micrometers. Thanks to the high resolution of the cameras and high-speed image processing systems, even the smallest defects are detected, while analysis algorithms minimize false rejects.

An ejection system based on the fail-safe principle ensures that containers that are detected as defective cannot enter the channel for good products. The tests carried out include foreign body detection as well as cosmetic and functional defects in the container, leak test and fill level test, and inspection of the hanger or cap. as
