Distributor Distrelec appoints Steve Herd as CEO effective September 2. Herd has been with the company since 2015 and in his most recent role as Head of Customer and Product Proposition had established a more efficient and effective structure for internal operations and communication activities, the success of which is also visible in the external connections with the company's supplier and customer network.
Neil Harrison, CEO of Datwyler's TeCo division, explains: "With over 22 years' experience in component sales, Steve Herd is best suited to this role as he has a proven ability to combine a clear focus on excellence with a supportive and collaborative leadership style, which is consistently mentioned positively in the survey results."
Herd on his new role: "Over the past four years, I have seen Distrelec overcome challenges and obstacles to remain an industry leader in the distribution of components and technology resources. We have challenging goals ahead of us, but we have the resources, platforms and manpower internally to be ready for the future. What will not change is our ability to offer our customers everything they need from a single source in terms of products, working tools and support."
