Optimize design and production
The Atos 5 from GOM is a robust high-speed 3D scanner equipped with modern camera sensors and measurement and projection technology.
By providing fast and precise three-dimensional measurement data, the system enables design and production processes to be optimized and shortened. GOM offers the scanner in two versions with 8 or 12 million points per measurement.
The device is suitable for sheet metal, tools and molds, turbine blades, prototypes or injection-molded and die-cast parts, for example. Full-surface 3D measurement data enables comprehensive process and quality control by allowing the 3D scanner to visualize hidden defects.
The scanner's bright light source is based on narrow-band, blue LED light. In this way, the 3D scanner delivers high-precision, traceable 3D surface data even in interfering ambient light. With the help of the triple scan principle, object areas that are difficult to access are captured in short measuring times. The system shows its strength particularly when measuring unconventional and shiny surfaces, fine structures and edges.
Fast 3D scanning with large measuring fields
Enlarged measuring fields combined with high image resolution lead to faster processes due to fewer measurements. At the same time, component images can be taken more easily as a larger area is captured and therefore fewer reference points are required. The Atos 5 achieves recordings of 0.2 seconds per scan in the measurement sequence.
It features fast and interference-free data transmission via fiber optic cable. In combination with intelligent sensor communication and environmental independence, this results in a self-monitoring system that can be used in the production environment. The sensor achieves maximum efficiency in the measurement and inspection of components in automated applications in the form of the Atos ScanBox.
