New multimeter series
High demands in terms of safety, application and robustness
Demanding work in the electrical trade and energy supply as well as smooth processes in production require innovative and customized measurement technology that scores points for safety, ease of use and resilience.
Voltcraft is setting new standards with its VC-900 multimeter series, especially for maintenance work in production halls and outdoors. Both models in the series are now available on the Conrad Sourcing Platform.
Two models for demanding tasks
The VC-915 and VC-905 are optimized digital multimeters that Voltcraft has designed and developed specifically for MRO professionals. Both models are waterproof and dustproof to IP65, making them ideal for indoor and outdoor production inspections as well as for inspecting the electrical systems of energy suppliers. "We have made no compromises when it comes to safety in the workplace," adds Harald Lehner, Head of Private Label Sales at Conrad Electronic. Accordingly, both models are certified to CAT IV 1000V / CAT III 1000 V. The flagship VC-915 is also suitable for mixed voltage measurement and rotary field testing.
Best readability thanks to translucent display
The highlight of the new 900 series is the brilliant transflective display. It combines the advantages of TFT color and LC displays: In direct sunlight it offers brilliant contrast, in low light conditions it scores with excellent optical resolution. All measurement results are displayed precisely and are easy to read in any situation, supported by extra-large digits. The number of counts of 6,000 (VC-905) or 20,000 (VC-915) and the basic measurement accuracy of 0.6% or 0.5% underline the professional standard of Voltcraft multimeters. In addition, the display and bargraph (bar graph) can be configured according to individual needs and requirements.
Clever features for comfortable working
The rubberized support surfaces and fold-out stands allow the device with its robust housing to stand securely. And that's not all: if there is no surface to stand on, the multimeter can be attached to any metal surface, such as a switch cabinet door, in no time at all using the integrated neodymium magnets. This leaves both hands free to work safely and comfortably. A switchable flashlight provides an overview at the place of use and particularly large buttons allow the multimeter to be operated even when wearing work gloves.
Manage, store and evaluate data externally
The top-of-the-range VC-915 model also scores with other practical functions: It has a data logger for recording and documenting measurement results. And a Bluetooth interface allows wireless transmission to mobile devices so that evaluations and analyses can be carried out in the specially developed app regardless of location.
