Level detection
In abundance
At Fachpack, Balluff will be presenting numerous innovations from its product portfolio. One focus will be on solutions for level detection. New additions to the portfolio are guided radar sensors in stainless steel housings with IP66/IP68 protection for maintenance-free level measurement of liquids and solids as well as for interface measurement.
The guided radar pulses along the probe ensure precise and stable measurement with an absolute reproducibility of plus/minus one millimeter and a maximum linearity deviation of plus/minus two millimeters. According to the manufacturer, a new product on the market is a self-adhesive capacitive sensor head with protection class IP 64 for non-contact, continuous level detection on non-conductive container or pipe outer walls made of glass, plastic or ceramic.
The flexible sensor head with a maximum detection range of up to 850 millimetres in length can be individually cut to the desired length on site and easily attached to container walls using an integrated adhesive surface without additional accessories. Balluff will also be exhibiting two new optical sensors which, in addition to the switching signal via IO-Link, also provide information on the sensor status and the current ambient conditions, as well as image processing solutions for the packaging industry. as
