Daniel Seiler, Managing Director of IDS Imaging Development, is leaving the company on February 29, 2020. After fourteen successful years at IDS, he would like to take on a new challenge. In various roles, he has made a significant contribution to the company's success in recent years, including the development of the North American business.

Jürgen Hartmann, founder and owner of the successful industrial camera manufacturer, will remain Managing Director and will take over Daniel Seiler's main operational tasks from March 1. Jan Hartmann, the eldest son of the company founder, will join the company's management team at the same time, making him the second generation to do so. This underlines the independence of the family business. In addition to his existing duties in the recently founded sister company IDS Innovation with its associated "b39 Academy", Jan Hartmann will be responsible for the company's HR, finance and IT departments.

Alexander Lewinsky, who has been Head of Operations for the company's production departments since 2018, has been granted power of attorney and has thus been promoted to the extended management team.

"We would like to thank Daniel Seiler for his successful work, which he has always carried out with great commitment and reliability. He has made a particularly valuable contribution to the internationalization of our core business. We regret his decision - all the more reason for us to wish him all the best for his personal and professional future," says Jürgen Hartmann. "With the rejuvenation of the IDS management team, we are very optimistic about the future." According to the camera manufacturer, the positive order situation and the strong development of international business give it every reason to do so in the Vision trade fair year.
