Sensor with cloud service
Inventory management with smart fill level measurement
With the launch of the Netilion Inventory cloud service, users of the Micropilot FWR30 level sensor receive additional functions specifically for warehouse applications. These enable inventory control, evaluation of stock levels and demand planning.
The use of the Micropilot FWR30 level sensor from Endress+Hauser ensures the digitalization of measuring points when using Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs). With the launch of the Netilion Inventory cloud solution, users now have additional management options. Smart sensors enable the automation of manual control processes.
Overview on mobile devices via dashboard
The Micropilot FWR30 wireless high-end 80GHz radar level measuring device is a prerequisite. It makes it possible to measure fill levels in places where previously only guesswork was possible and provides high-frequency information about stock levels in IBCs to optimize logistics and storage processes.
Thanks to the digitalization of the measuring points, the fill levels of the IBCs are available anywhere and at any time. The new, cloud-based IIoT application Netilion Inventory gives users new options for analysis via a dashboard: current and historical data, threshold values and notifications, volume calculation, a consumption history and a forecast function. This gives users a precise overview of their stocks and the need to reorder. All data is visualized in the web application.
A notification function can also be used to keep manual control processes to a minimum and to automate processes. When certain limit values are reached, the relevant users receive an email.
Access to inventory management
A linearization of container volume to fill level height is used to calculate how much material is actually available. Taking into account the historical consumption of products improves forecasts for future orders and free storage capacity. Production downtimes due to a lack of materials are therefore a thing of the past. Preventive safety stocks, which cause increased storage costs, can also be avoided.
For reasons of time and cost, inventory analysis has not yet been automated. Netilion Inventory enables easy access to inventory management by evaluating historical data on materials and consumption as well as anomalies that have occurred in the process. "The Micropilot FWR30 represents the convergence of the physical and digital worlds," explains Senior Product Manager Dietmar Haag. "Predictive monitoring of systems and devices finally works. We offer a low-cost, simple entry into digitalization, even for existing systems, without stopping or jeopardizing core processes."
Wireless level measurement
IBCs are widely used in many manufacturing sectors, for example in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, the food and beverage industry, the textile industry and the construction industry. Plastic tanks are also used in agriculture. Liquids are both stored and transported in IBCs. The liquids include chemical cleaning agents for cleaning tanks and pipelines. The food and beverage industry uses the containers for flavorings and colorants. Tank manufacturers and logistics companies equip IBCs with smart measurement technology to offer their customers special digital added value.
The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) sensor combines high-end measurement technology with user-friendly digital services in a cost-effective device. All data linked to the digital services can be accessed via various end devices such as smartphones, tablets or desktop computers.
Certified data security
The certified Netilion cloud services are an integral part of the solution, which accesses the data stored in the cloud, processes it and uses it as the basis for further calculations and use cases.
Users can choose flexibly from a broad service portfolio and gradually adapt the service to their own requirements. The launch of the Netilion Inventory cloud service complements Netilion Value, the entry-level solution for simple fill level monitoring of tanks and containers. The SupplyCare Hosting service offers extended inventory and supply chain management for monitoring larger and more complex logistics chains. Netilion Inventory can be used to integrate up to 200 tanks, but also offers users considerable benefits for smaller applications in particular. as
