How waterproof is the battery?
Inficon shows how components can be guaranteed to be watertight in accordance with protection class IP67.
IP67 plays a decisive role in the automotive industry, for example, in the production of housings for modern traction batteries: water ingress and the associated short circuits and fires must be avoided at all costs.
According to the company, a highlight at the Inficon stand is the specially designed IP67 demonstrator. Using various capillaries, the demonstrator simulates how many drops of water penetrate through leakage channels of different diameters at a certain pressure. as
