Cognitive skills for machines
Image processing is one of the key technologies for automation in logistics. At Logimat, Framos is focusing on measurement, classification and sorting intelligence and will be showcasing a new generation of cognitive systems and specific logistics applications with Intel Realsense technology.
Intel Realsense technology supports human sensors and intelligence for devices and machines. According to the company, the technology enables a new generation of logistics applications in the rapidly growing areas of robots, drones, mobile products and virtual reality.
The dedicated logistics product Framos Volume Light Grid (VLG) will also play a central role. The plug & play product is a first-class example of how goods can be reliably measured and checked for dimensions, positioning, volume and weight or codes directly in the conveying process. Whether master data acquisition, fully automatic sorting, checks for completeness or excess stock or freight processing - the Framos VLG is user-friendly and can be seamlessly connected to ERP, PLC and other logistics systems.
Framos offers a wide range of logistics systems to reduce freight costs in e-commerce or to ensure machine compatibility for parcels in automated warehouse management systems. Industrial end customers can thus achieve effective system utilization with reduced downtimes and improved cost and resource efficiency. as
