Faro presents new measurement testing solutions
At this year's Hannover Messe, Faro will be showcasing innovations for measurement inspection. Among other things, processes can be optimized with its 8-axis system thanks to the integrated, precise additional axis.
The measurement technology provides actual data in real time, for comparison for digital models or for predictive maintenance. Faro has hardware and software solutions for 3D inventory data acquisition and for precise measurements during production as well as for the provision and processing of data for downstream processes. The company will be presenting its innovations at three trade fair stands at the Hannover Messe.
Together with the Institute for Information Management in Engineering, Faro Labs will be demonstrating the current steps for the development of a digital twin. For example, the "Click & Build" technology can be used to transfer measurement data into automatically created CAD objects. The company is also a cooperation partner of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research for the "MonSiKo" project, which aims to make work and assembly processes more efficient and less stressful. Equipped with 3D and acoustic sensors, the new assistance system tracks the work process, indicates deviations with light signals and interacts with the user via voice and touchscreen.
The Faro 8-axis system combines the portable Quantum FaroArm or the Quantum ScanArm with a functionally integrated but physically separate eighth axis. The eighth axis is a rotary axis that can be directly connected to all Faro Arm products. It thus becomes an integrated, highly accurate additional axis that requires no further set-up time or installation work. The 6DoF laser tracker platform provides workflow productivity management support for measurement applications. With the Faro 6Probe, a fully integrated and hand-held probe, hidden, hard-to-reach features in inaccessible areas can be measured.
