Vision sensors now even more flexible
Even smarter, even more beautiful
The Visor series from manufacturer Sensopart has been given a makeover: With their slim metal housing, improved lighting and new functions such as aiming laser and motorized focus, the vision sensors can now be used even more flexibly and are easy to operate.
Thanks to extensive hardware and software compatibility with the previous version, the sensors can be integrated into existing installations. The housing has a holder for dovetail mounting. A new feature is the integrated aiming laser (laser class 1), which simplifies sensor setup during commissioning. Another new feature is the motorized focus adjustment, which can be controlled via the software. This eliminates the need for cumbersome manual adjustment using a focus screw - especially in confined installation spaces - and prevents process interruptions when switching between jobs with different focus positions. With the IP67 all-metal housing and the operating temperature range of zero to 50 degrees Celsius, these sensors are one hundred percent suitable for industrial use.
The manufacturer has increased the image resolution from 0.3 to 0.5 megapixels (V10 variant) and from 1.3 to 1.5 megapixels (V20). Users can choose between three different fields of view (wide, medium, narrow) for both variants and determine the optimum image section for their application. The variant with a narrow field of view enables improved detection of small parts or codes from greater distances. The integrated lighting with eight high-performance LEDs has also been improved. The frame rate has increased thanks to the faster signal processor. Finally, connectivity has also been improved; the sensor supports the current interface protocols. pb
