The Endress+Hauser Group's growth continues unabated. "We have grown across all business areas, sectors and regions," says Matthias Altendorf, CEO of the Endress+Hauser Group. Accordingly, net sales in 2019 rose by almost 8 percent compared to the previous year to over 2.6 billion euros. The return on sales remained at the previous year's level and the company was also satisfied with earnings before taxes, according to company sources. The specialist for measurement technology and automation was able to create around 400 new jobs worldwide. The company now has more than 14,3000 employees worldwide.

This growth is primarily due to strong impetus from Asia. Europe, America, Africa and the Middle East developed positively, but at a much slower pace. "We have set clear trends in the industry with good product innovations," says Altendorf.

Incoming orders rose faster than sales in 2019. Endress+Hauser was therefore able to start the new year 2020 with a significantly increased order backlog.

Lower growth expected for 2020

Endress+Hauser expects a slower development for the current year 2020. The Group is forecasting sales growth in the mid-single-digit percentage range and aims to maintain profitability at a good level. However, there are still many uncertainties, according to the company.
