Changes in the management of Endress+Hauser
Three new people will strengthen the top management level of Endress+Hauser in the future: The Board of Directors has appointed Dr. Mirko Lehmann, Prof. Dr. Katja Windt and Helena Svensson to the Group's Executive Board.
The current Chief Operating Officer (COO) Dr. Andreas Mayr and Chief Information Officer (CIO) Pieter de Koning will retire as planned in 2026. Over the next few months, they will prepare the handover of their current areas of responsibility and support the induction of their successors. Their areas of responsibility will be tailored so that they can focus clearly on their work. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Peter Selders and Chairman of the Board of Directors Matthias Altendorf have shaped these changes at the top together with the responsible committees.
New CTO: Mirko Lehmann takes over technology and digital topics
Dr. Mirko Lehmann took over the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on 1 July 2025. "This reflects the importance of innovation for the sustainable growth and long-term success of Endress+Hauser," says Matthias Altendorf, Chairman of the Board of Directors. In addition to innovation and digitalization, the CTO will also be responsible for marketing, information technology and patent protection. He will accelerate the use of new technologies and drive business development together with the CEO.
Mirko Lehmann holds a doctorate in physics and has been Managing Director of Endress+Hauser Flow, the product center for flow measurement technology with over 3,000 employees worldwide, since 2021. He will soon hand over this responsibility. Prior to that, he headed the Swiss sensor specialist Innovative Sensor Technology IST, which is also part of the Endress+Hauser Group, for 14 years. Mirko Lehmann is 54 years old and holds both German and Swiss citizenship.
Katja Windt takes over the role of COO at Endress+Hauser in 2026
Katja Windt will be the new COO. With a doctorate in mechanical engineering, she can look back on a successful career in science and business and will join Endress+Hauser on February 1, 2026. She has been Professor of Global Production Logistics at the private Constructor University (formerly Jacobs University) in Bremen since 2008. In 2018, she moved into industry full-time and has since been Chief Digital Officer and a member of the management board of the German mechanical and plant engineering company SMS Group.
Focus: Production, supply chains and operational excellence
In her new role, Katja Windt will be responsible for global supply chains and the optimization of the value chain (operational excellence) as well as for the Endress+Hauser Product Centers. She brings a comprehensive understanding of digitalization, automation and system integration to this role. "The aim is to further develop our international production network and our global supply chains in the long term," says Matthias Altendorf. Katja Windt is 56 years old and a German citizen.
New CHRO: Helena Svensson will be responsible for HR and development in future
Helena Svensson will join Endress+Hauser as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) on May 1, 2026. She is currently Vice President Human Resources International for the Europe, Africa/Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions at the US company ACCO Brands, which owns brands such as Esselte, Kensington and Leitz. Prior to this, after studying business administration, she gained extensive experience in various HR areas at the family-owned technology groups Bosch and Voith.
As CHRO, Helena Svensson will be responsible for Group-wide HR management as well as the topics of training and development, where Endress+Hauser intends to set further accents. "As a family business, Endress+Hauser cultivates a value-oriented culture that focuses on people. The development of our employees plays a key role in ensuring that the company remains successful in the long term," says Matthias Altendorf. Helena Svensson is 47 years old and a Swedish-German citizen.
Other members of the Executive Board at Endress+Hauser
The Executive Board continues to include Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Dr. Luc Schultheiss, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) Laurent Mulley and General Counsel Dr. Heiner Zehntner. "Customer needs and market requirements are currently changing rapidly. The combination of many years of experience and additional expertise on the Executive Board will enable us to generate new momentum as a team," says Peter Selders. Former COO Andreas Mayr will seamlessly transition to the Board of Directors on May 1, 2026.
