This includes two stand-alone devices: the more cost-effective Protec P3000XL and the more powerful XL3000flex. The modular LDS3000 with XL sniffer adapter is designed for integration into systems. All devices operate with a high gas flow of 3000 sccm. This is necessary to maintain the required safety distance between the probe head and the test part surface and to move the probe tip with acceptable propulsion during the dynamic search.

The maintenance-free helium sniffer leak detector Protec P3000XL was developed for use under tough production conditions. The patented Wise Technology sensor can detect the tracer gas helium without a vacuum and therefore without a turbomolecular pump. This means that high test speeds can be achieved when testing against medium leak rates. The device is equipped with analog interfaces.

The XL3000flex sniffer leak detector can be used with various test gases; either with helium or with cost-effective forming gas. The device uses optimized signal processing algorithms and therefore allows higher scanning speeds than the Protec P3000XL. This makes it suitable for robot sniffer leak detection of particularly small limit leak rates.

The Inficon LDS3000 with XL sniffer adapter has the same performance parameters as its sister model XL3000flex, but is designed to be modular and without its own housing. Plant manufacturers can integrate the device into their customers' production lines as required.
