Draw-wire sensor from FSG

Annina Schopen,

The best of two successful series

FSG has developed a new draw-wire sensor model that combines the robustness of theSL3000 Premium series with the slim, lightweight design of the SL00 Basic series. The SL00-R-GS80 offers innovative and flexible mounting options that open up a wide range of applications for users.

The new FSG SL00-R-GS80 draw-wire sensor combines the advantages of the two proven series on which it is based: The housing is robust and stable like the SL3000 Premium, yet the design of the new sensor is slim and the weight is comparatively low - typical features of the SL00 Basic series. This means that draw-wire sensors from the SL00-R-GS80 series can also be installed in places where space is limited, but where durability and resistance are still important. Last but not least, the SL00-R-GS80 is characterized by the high precision of length measurement typical of FSG draw-wire sensors.

Options for mounting and attachments

In addition to its high resistance, the protective, robust V2A stainless steel housing of the SL00-R-GS80 offers a variety of mounting points for maximum flexibility when installing the device. The 80 in the type designation stands for the housing diameter of 80 mm. The draw-wire sensor can be combined with various encoder types: It is perfectly matched to FSG's own encoders, but also offers outstanding performance and precision when fitted with commercially available sensors from other manufacturers. The cable length is up to 3 meters.

Above all, however, the encoder can be mounted on either side of the housing, with the cable outlet either to the left or right. This allows users to install the SL00-R-GS80 in the way that suits them best. In combination with a wide range of accessories, such as a pulley, there are many other ways to make optimum use of the new draw-wire sensor from FSG.

Further advantages and features of the SL00-R-GS80: The return spring is 50 % stronger than in the SL00 Basic series models. In the completely new design of the stainless steel housing, FSG has dispensed with the costly injection molding process - this makes the SL00-R-GS80 a high-quality draw-wire sensor with an excellent price-performance ratio.

With the new model, FSG has succeeded in significantly expanding its product portfolio - more details on the technical specifications of the SL00-R-GS80 are available on request.
