Now live at ACE: New online gas spring calculation program

Interested parties can now calculate and design the gas spring tailored to their application on the ACE Stoßdämpfer GmbH homepage. The gas spring calculation tool can be found under 'Calculations' on the ace-ace.de website. With this easy-to-use, user-friendly software, ACE is expanding the range of calculation programs available on the Internet and underlining the modern, customer-oriented approach of its services.

Speed and high availability have always been among the strengths of ACE Stoßdämpfer GmbH. The company from Langenfeld in the Rhineland, which specializes in damping and vibration control technology as well as speed control and safety products, supplies customers in German-speaking countries with a wide range of machine elements within 24 hours, depending on the request. These include industrial gas pressure and gas tension springs, which are mainly fitted to hoods, flaps, hatches and machine housings and are used to relieve muscle power and reliably open, close or hold masses without great effort.

In the past, an inquiry about the availability of a suitable ACE gas spring required direct contact with the ACE gas spring team and the completion of a design sheet sent back and forth by fax or e-mail. Thanks to the new online calculation program for gas springs, the design can now be carried out more quickly and at any time using a graphical user interface.

Unique in the industry because it is completely intuitive and visually structured and supported in either 2D or 3D, the most common applications for gas springs can now be calculated in just a few structured steps. In this way, experienced users can find the machine element tailored to their application in less than a minute. The optimum ACE gas spring and the required mounting accessories are specified exactly. The online tool can also be used to generate an assembly sketch.

In the interests of its customers, ACE Stoßdämpfer GmbH uses this service to shorten the entire process from design to ordering and delivery. While in the current version of the software the order is still triggered by a request, it is planned in future to be able to order the gas springs determined by online calculation directly via the ACE e-shop. These will then be filled with customized nitrogen at ACE's warehouse in Langenfeld and shipped by parcel service. For customers who do not want to do without the previous service, personal advice and assistance with the calculation and ordering of ACE gas springs is still available.

"Our previous experience from user behavior with comparable tools for our industrial and safety shock absorbers has been incorporated into the development of this uniquely user-friendly solution for determining the appropriate ACE gas springs for our customers' various applications," explains André Weßling, responsible for global marketing at ACE Stoßdämpfer GmbH. He emphasizes that the focus of the efforts has been on making the operation of the new online calculation program for ACE gas springs as convenient and intuitive as possible.
