Laser marking with automatic object detection
The laser marking manufacturer ACI Laser offers a high-end camera solution for customer-specific image processing and evaluation requirements. AOI (Automatic Object Identification) is used for the fully automated detection, identification and measurement of objects, text and codes with complex geometries.
The AOI camera system captures and analyzes the marking area online via a camera system. The laser marking is aligned fully automatically on the object and can be checked after marking.
The combination of object detection and laser marking offers an excellent opportunity for quality and process reliability and efficient process control for numerous applications.

- Checking presence, position and rotation
Another area of application for AOI is the reading of 1D and 2D codes and character recognition OCR (Optical Character Recognition).
The technical implementation of the high-end camera system AOI is carried out according to customer-specific requirements. AOI can be realized with an externally adapted camera or with a camera coupled into the beam path of the laser head.
