Harting has him, the manager of the year

On May 25, 2023, WEKA Fachmedien's trade magazine Markt&Technik once again named the top managers in the electronics industry. Norbert Gemmeke, Managing Director of the Harting Electric global business unit, can now call himself Manager of the Year.

"I am delighted that my work has been recognized. The electrical engineering and electronics sector plays a crucial role when it comes to meeting the megatrends of our time. This offers me many opportunities to continue shaping this exciting field and the industrial transformation," says Norbert Gemmeke, looking ambitiously to the future. The electrical engineering graduate has been Managing Director of the Global Business Unit Electric since 2019 and, together with his team, brings innovative and environmentally friendly connectors to the market. "We look at our products over their entire life cycle. Right from the start, we place great importance on resource-saving materials, energy-efficient connections and production processes as well as recyclability," emphasizes Norbert Gemmeke.

This year, the "Manager of the Year" title was awarded for the ninth time. Three managers share the winners' podium in each category. Norbert Gemmeke was honored in the electromechanics category. Also up for selection were: Embedded Systems, Power Semiconductors, Passive Components, Human Resources Management, Sensor Technology and Supply Chain. In addition to their remarkable careers, the winners also owe their position to the readers who voted. Around 7000 of them voted.
