Highlight of the week
Camera-supported laser marking with vision systems
ACI Laser GmbH will be presenting its products and innovations in the field of laser marking at FAKUMA, the international trade fair for plastics processing, which takes place in Friedrichshafen from October 16-20, 2018. A laser marking station with a vision system will be presented in hall A2 at stand 2319.
CPM - Capturing, Positioning, Marking
The use of vision systems for image capture and processing is becoming increasingly important in the industrial environment and is an important tool for controlling and optimizing processes. ACI Laser offers customized camera solutions with a wide variety of lighting scenarios to suit the diversity of objects.
CPM is used for camera-supported, user-friendly positioning of markings on components, workpieces and objects. CPM is available in two versions:
CPM external - camera for capturing a live or single image of the marking area
Depending on the application requirements and system configuration, the entire marking area or a smaller high-resolution area is captured by the external CPM camera and rectified for perspective. The individual image is stored as a single image in the graphics area of the Magic Mark marking software and used to position the layout.
CPM internal - creation of an overall image from high-resolution individual images
With CPM internal, the camera is coupled into the beam path of the laser head and captures high-resolution individual images. These individual images are then stitched together to form a high-resolution overall image (max. 14 x 14 mm). The temperature drift of the scanner is compensated for.
CPM internal is very well suited for micromarking and trimming applications.
Visitors to the Fakuma trade fair can obtain individual advice on which hardware and software solution is the right one for their application directly on site (Hall A2, Stand 2319). Alternatively, an appointment can be made with the sales team by telephone or e-mail:
