Lifting technology and load securing technology
SpanSet takes over Axzion GKS
SpanSet has taken over Axzion GKS Stahl- und Maschinenbau GmbH. Axzion GKS has a turnover of 12 million euros and employs around 90 people. Headquartered in Langenfeld, the company produces and sells load handling attachments for onshore and offshore wind turbines and for industrial applications worldwide under the Axzion brand name. In order to make the affiliation to the SpanSet Germany Group clear to the outside world, the company will be called SpanSet Axzion in future.
The Axzion brand will thus be actively integrated into the SpanSet Group. The aim is to expand SpanSet and the two subsidiaries Secutex and Axzion into a competence center for "lifting technology / load securing technology" as well as the associated safety management for the international SpanSet Group. "Thanks to the acquisition of GKS Stahl und Maschinenbau, we can now offer our customers complete product systems from a single source," explains Andreas Höltkemeier, Managing Director of SpanSet. "All components are coordinated with each other and our application engineers always have the entire unit in view. Both brands, SpanSet and Axzion, enjoy a good reputation in their respective industries and complement each other perfectly."
SpanSet Germany's product range will in future include products from the areas of slinging technology, load securing and height safety technology, load handling equipment, impact protection, surface protection and noise protection / noise reduction. "We expect considerable synergies, particularly through the combination of the companies' strong expertise," Höltkemeier continues. SpanSet Axzion will continue to operate in the existing structure with the company headquarters in Langenfeld and the branches in Neustrelitz, Großefehn and Übach-Palenberg.
