Protection system prevents contamination
The X-Velo protective system from Hema is designed to prevent contamination of the production hall with chips and cooling lubricants. Thanks to its aluminum guide rails, the roof cover can be quickly retrofitted to both new and existing portal and CNC milling machines, according to the manufacturer. The system is designed in such a way that the 250 mm high folds are almost flush with the guide rails of the cover, thus preventing chips or cooling lubricants from being ejected from the machine. Should individual chips nevertheless be deposited on the folds, they can be cleaned quickly and easily thanks to the open profile of the cover.
Another advantage of the X-Velo is its light transmission: with sufficient hall lighting, no additional lamps are required in the interior of the system. The system has a modular design, a width of up to 6 m and a length of up to 12 m that can be adapted to the respective application. Thanks to the connecting elements, which cannot tilt during movement, travel speeds of up to 75 m/min are possible. sw
