New European headquarters
Yaskawa invests 23 million euros
Yaskawa is building a new company headquarters for Europe in Hattersheim near Frankfurt.
The technology supplier in the fields of robotics, drive and control technology and renewable energy solutions is investing around 23 million euros in an office building and parking garage at the new site. The inauguration is planned for the end of 2022.
Decisive factors for the choice of the new location in Hattersheim Industrial Park included the excellent infrastructure and the connection to Frankfurt Airport. Yaskawa's European headquarters have been located in a rented building in nearby Eschborn since 2008.
The ground-breaking ceremony for the new building is scheduled for the end of the 1st quarter of 2021. A 4-storey office building with 3,450 m² of office space for around 220 employees, the European training center with 1,150 m² and an innovation center with a showroom with an area of 206 m² will be built on the 8,316 m² site.
The new building is designed as an energy-efficient house in accordance with the KfW 55 standard. A wide range of measures have been taken to achieve a high level of energy efficiency. Features include a photovoltaic system, particularly energy-efficient air conditioning technology in the offices and energy-saving LED lights. Heat is generated by an air-water heat pump.
In the innovation center with integrated showroom, visitors can expect the latest technologies and innovations from the fields of Industry 4.0 and 5G. In the training center, highly qualified trainers teach participants how to use and program Motoman robots and Yaskawa drive and control technology in hands-on workshops.
