Intelligent parallel gripper
With certified Profinet IRT interface
Schunk developed its EGI parallel gripper especially for handling tasks in electronics, pharmaceutical and laboratory applications.
Equipped with a certified Profinet IRT interface (category C), the small parts gripper has active gripping force maintenance in the event of a power failure or emergency stop. The gripping forces are adjustable up to 100 N and the stroke is programmable up to 57.5 mm per jaw. The functions of the mechatronic gripper can be configured via a standard integrated web server without additional software. The jaw movement can be controlled manually on the gripper in jog mode. The "Extended referencing" function can also be used to save an individual maximum stroke and store it as a limit value in the software.
