Feeder, six-axis and Scara robots

Mara Hofacker,

Automation solutions at the Motek

Epson will be showcasing its Scara and six-axis robots as well as automation components in practical applications at its stand at Motek 2019. A new vibratory feeder will be presented at the stand, which will be available in two versions from October 2019.

Like the Epson vision system, the conveyor tracking system and the force sensing system, the feeder integrates seamlessly into the RC+ development environment, making its programming completely transparent for every developer. This ensures that installation is very easy, even in existing robot cells. The new conveyor system is available immediately.

The company will be accompanied at its Motek stand by two integrators, Compar from Switzerland and MiniTec.at from Austria. With their exhibits, both partner companies will demonstrate how turnkey solutions can be realized efficiently and cost-effectively with Epson automation systems. The Epson robot controllers of the different series installed in the systems demonstrate their high performance by moving a large number of axes independently of each other and also taking over control tasks for the work cell.

Another focus of the presentation at Motek 2019 will be numerous installations that demonstrate the speed, precision and cost efficiency of both the six-axis and Scara robots.

Parts feeder IF240 and IF530

The new vibratory feeder presented at the trade fair is available in two versions: the IF240 for parts measuring around 5 to 40 mm and the IF530 for components measuring 30 to 150 mm. The conveyor is fully integrated into the Epson RC+ development environment and also supports the Epson vision system for precise, fast detection and recognition. Depending on requirements, it is possible to program variable light and modulation options for the vision.
