Portal palletizer
More than 800 boxes per hour
At LogiMAT in Stuttgart, the Trapo team presented an efficient gantry palletizer from the HPS series.
"The need for automation is omnipresent. And decision-makers in a wide range of companies are very aware of it," emphasizes Enrico Pes, who as CSO (Chief Sales Officer) is responsible for strategic development and customer support at Trapo. "What is particularly pleasing for us," says the industry insider, "is that there is an increasing willingness to use autonomous systems in warehouses and in logistics as a whole."
Live performance in a confined space
The portal palletizer from the HPS series (High-Speed Portal System) palletizes more than 800 boxes per hour. The gantry is equipped with a maintenance-friendly product layer gripper. Its task in Stuttgart was to pick up four KLT boxes each in live operation and transfer them to conveyor technology: Two were placed directly onto the roller conveyor, two were buffered in parallel and then pushed off.
"In addition to the high quantity, we were particularly impressed by the quality of the visitors, as many of them arrived with concrete ideas and investment plans," confirms Area Sales Manager Thorsten Lütke.
Award: "Best product at LogiMAT"
The Trapo loading system, which was presented for the first time in Stuttgart in 2023 and won the "Best Product of LogiMAT" award in the "Identification, Packaging and Loading Technology, Load Securing" category, has the potential to become a "top seller" in the Trapo portfolio. "Demand for the TLS has risen continuously in recent months. This is also clearly reflected in our incoming orders," confirms Managing Director Dr. Thomas Gutwald.
At the Trapo Experience Hubs, the team of experts provided information about the new features and functions of the autonomous truck loading and unloading system, which sets standards in terms of efficiency and safety: the latest generation of the agile system is now available not only for box trucks, but also for vehicles with tarpaulins. In addition, the loading and unloading performance has been further increased. A new localization concept ensures greater safety in the system. And thanks to the revised telescopic and more stable lifting concept with three lifting steps, three Euro pallets can now be loaded lengthways or - by manually repositioning the outer tines - two Euro pallets crossways in one go.
CSO Enrico Pes believes the company is well equipped for the coming years - not least thanks to its sales team: "The future is not only decided by excellent technology and quality, but above all by people. Those who offer uncompromising service in a dynamic market, are passionate about their products and can also realize visions will inspire customers in the long term or again and again - and grow together with them."
