Handling and workpiece clamping
Networked production starts with the component
Schunk is coming to Hanover with a 360-degree portfolio covering all aspects of machine tools. The focus will be on more sustainable production, connectivity and e-mobility.
Schunk has several solutions in its portfolio for energy- and resource-saving processes. These include the Adheso for energy-free gripping of sensitive components. It enables residue-free and gentle parts handling in the medical, pharmaceutical and electrical industries, for example. Further developed generations of lathe chucks, such as the Rota THW3 quick jaw change chuck, also follow the principle of sustainability. In addition to flexibility and functionality, it impresses with up to 20 times longer maintenance intervals thanks to its patented seal, according to the manufacturer. This results in correspondingly lower lubricant consumption. Schunk will also be exhibiting actuator and sensor clamping systems, including the electromechanical zero-point clamping module NSE3-PH 138 IOL with piezo-hydraulic drive and integrated sensors. Another trade fair highlight announced by Schunk was the smart hydraulic expansion chuck Itendo². It provides real-time data directly from the tool and detects wear at an early stage.
