Shorter set-up times

Automated change of clamping heads and clamping devices

With the AC (automated change) line, Hainbuch presents its new products for the implementation of automation projects.

This allows clamping heads with or without workpiece stops and even entire clamping devices to be changed automatically. This is because machines and systems need to be flexible and set up themselves in order to cope with increasing product individualization and the production batch size of "one". By using these solutions, the automated machines run longer, set themselves up in the shortest possible time and thus reduce costs. Higher machine utilization is achieved than with conventional machines, as unmanned shifts can be carried out with process reliability.

Automated clamping device change with the Centrotex AC interface

With this interface for the automated change of chucks, mandrels and special clamping devices, the clamping device is drawn in via a bayonet mechanism that is operated by a mechanical actuator. The robot or gantry positions the clamping device at the Centrotex AC interface on the machine spindle, the bayonet locks and the clamping device is drawn in. The implemented "reject and discharge" cleanliness concept ensures that the changing process runs reliably by means of blowing and rinsing processes. Several air system controls also check the changing process and pass this on to the machine control system.

The Centrotex AC cutting unit is suitable for lathes with horizontal or vertical rotating spindles. The big advantage: The employee only provides the clamping devices and the parts to be produced and can therefore operate several machines simultaneously or run entire shifts completely autonomously. The concentricity and production accuracies are identical to those of the clamping devices used, plus ≤ 0.003 mm changeover repeatability of the Centrotex AC interface. The well-known Centrotex M quick-change interface is already in use on thousands of machines and Hainbuch has incorporated this experience into the Centrotex AC automation variant.

Clamping head and workpiece stop change with Toplus AC or Spanntop AC chuck

These power-operated chucks with integrated interface are used to change the clamping head and the workpiece stop together or separately. The chucks are suitable for lathes with horizontal or vertical rotating spindles and can even be used stationary on machining centers or measuring machines. With this automation solution, which can also be used in combination with Centrotex AC, no manual set-up is required and unmanned and reliable production is possible. The concentricity and production accuracies are identical to those of the familiar Hainbuch chucks.
